The webinar aims to initiate a discussion about Bangladesh’s current political, social, and economic challenges and discuss public concerns about the nation’s future; identify the fears surrounding instability, divisions, and governance issues;  focus on the key pillars of nation building, democratic institutions, social cohesion, and inclusive governance and how these can be reinforced to ensure a strong future.

We will examine key pointers from Bangladesh’s situation on the need to rethink current ‘democratic’ practices within the region, more so in the light of USA’s recent election, and explore how neighbouring Southasian countries and international allies can help support Bangladesh on its path to recovery, democracy, and long-term stability.

Bangladesh is at a critical crossroads. While the focus may be on the unrest happening in the streets and nation, it’s important to learn from the past and work towards building a democratic and inclusive society.

Please join us for what promises to be an insightful and scintillating discussion

Look forward to seeing you there!

Team Sapan
