The Southasia Peace Action Network (Sapan) is excited to collaborate with the Readers Without Borders book club for a conversation with Arundhati Roy this weekend.

A unique event for book lovers! If you have read or are reading Arundhati Roy’s new book Mother Mary Comes to Me, join the upcoming online Readers Without Borders (RWB) book club, hosted in collaboration with Sapan.

We will be joined by Arundhati Roy in conversation with RWB founder/convener Ambereen Mirza and Sapan co-founder and journalist Beena Sarwar

Ambereen Mirza, former President of OPEN Global, entrepreneur, and educator currently based in the Boston area, is a longtime Sapan supporter who has endorsed of the Sapan Founding Charter. She has recently endorsed the Charter on behalf of RWB, bringing the number of endorsing organisations to nearly 135.

About Readers Without Borders

RWB is an online book club that meets every month on a Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. EST to discuss a book that its members, residing around the globe, have been reading. The readings range across various genres.

Authors who have joined RWB sessions include Dr. Aqueel Athar and Tanya Jogee, co-authors of ‘Tiny Glimmers of Light,’ a novel about extremism, Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy, author of ‘Pakistan: Origins, Identity and Future,’ acclaimed as an outstanding history of Pakistan, and Iran-origin scholar Omid Safi, scholar of mystical Islam and author of ‘Radical Love: Teaching from the Islamic Mystical Tradition’.

We look forward to more collaborations with Readers Without Borders.
