Mon. 14 Sept: India after the student protests: A conversation with Yogendra Yadav

As student movements and grassroots resistance continue to reshape the political landscape across South Asia, what lies ahead for democratic resistance in India?

To explore these pressing questions, the Boston South Asia Coalition (BSAC) invites community members, students, and organisers to an evening of reflection and analysis with renowned Indian activist, psephologist, and political leader Yogendra Yadav.

About the Speaker

Yogendra Yadav is a prominent Indian academic, politician, and electoral strategist who uniquely bridges democratic theory with frontline activist organising. Over the last two decades, he has been at the centre of major national movements, including the 2011 Anti-Corruption movement and the historical 2020–2021 Farmers’ Protests against controversial farm laws.

As the co-founder of Swaraj Abhiyan, Yadav continues to advocate for participatory democracy, agrarian rights, and institutional accountability across India.
